"Let me start off by saying -- I've always felt that insurance was a scam. The constant phone calls about life insurance and insuring this, that, and a third with no real conversation breaking down the why outside of what's shown on social media just further "confirmed" that for me .. until I sat down with Kelly. I sat across from Kelly for TWO HOURS (our appointment was only slated for 1 hour) as he broke down every line item of my estimated policy, answered every question with patience, and provided me education about the importance of insurance and how it is a barrier of protection for our assets. I left feeling valued, empowered, and most importantly clear on what my future policy protected and the value I was receiving. As a baby adult, understanding the why has been the most important thing to me in deciding where I put my hard earned dollars. I am so grateful for Kelly and Vincent in how they treated me. I've been with another state farm agency for years and have put in a request to transfer just based on the interaction from Kelly. Thank you guys so much! "Update: I originally had this listed as a 2 star review but I am now giving it a 1 star review because even AFTER the details described below, the policy I was given was still not correct. I had to reach out again to get it updated. The policy I was given was set to start in November of 2026. Just overall several inconsistencies, delays, miscommunication and additional follow ups that I should not have had to do. It took me a total 6 attempts just to get a corrected EOI and I will still have to wait and accrue fees for not having a declarations page when it should have been sent to me correctly in the first place. I’ve been using State Farm for my renters insurance since 2020-2021and my recent experience has been frustrating. First off, I normally would get calls and e-mails from State Farm around the time my policy is going to expire to see if I would like to renew the policy. That didn’t happen this last time and my policy expired. I understand that it’s my responsibility to renew my renters insurance but a reminder is helpful. Secondly, when I called and set up a new renters insurance policy, they did not take my card information and a representative had to call me back so payment could be submitted. The additional interested party was missing from my policy. I had called to get it corrected and I was told the correction would be made within a few days. I checked and no changes were made. Nothing was emailed to me. I submitted the request again through the website and the next day, I had a voicemail saying “ Hi, this is Vincent Boone State Farm office calling in regards to your request to update the additional insured for your apartment. Just wanted to let you know that it is already listed correctly as you as you submitted online so we already have that listed. You should have a copy of your declaration page, which shows that. So again, we already have that. Thanks so much and have a great day.” I checked the declarations page and again… no additional interest party listed. I work in property management and I review renters insurance policies on a daily basis. The “notice to” address was also incorrect. I called back to get it fixed and someone said “oh yeah we were calling to see if you wanted to switch to paying on a yearly basis instead of a monthly basis” and I said that was not the reason why I was calling. I explained again why I was calling and told the representative I’ve put in the change for the additional interested party to be changed and no changes were made even though I was already told they changes were already made. The representative gathered the correct information and apologized and told me the corrections would be made but it takes some time for a new declarations page to in place. I finally have a document that shows evidence of insurance with the additional interested party after several attempts at getting this corrected. I know I just started a new policy with State Farm, but I don’t think I would really recommend them based off of my recent experience. I did look at some other options that are able to create a declarations page on the same day as the policy starts. Even though I have the evidence of insurance, my apartment community requires the declarations page so I have to wait a few days for the official declarations page to be sent to me. I have also been charged by my rental community for not having the additional interested party while I was working with State Farm to make these changes. It’s been frustrating because I never had an issue until October of last year and I’ve been using and recommending State Farm for a long time."

"Allow me to express my utter and total dissatisfaction with the way that this has been handled by the billing department and the tone of the communication from your office. The difference between the intent of the fact-finding and the impact of the accusatory tone of the "office to client" communication has left me with little trust in the service part of customer service. We are well aware of all that transpired between October and January. There was a lag between the license plate being turned in and the notification to your office. We had no problem paying the difference due to that error on our part. Owned and accounted for by the customer with no tone, no complaint. However, it is brought up as the reason for all the issues. I am still confused as to the system failure that a simple addition caused after the change was resolved. However, the billing department's lack of oversight and accountability has not, nor will it be, owned by anyone other than the customer. I called in good faith this week due to a text message about a past due balance. After several conversations and more patronizing and repetitive information, the resolution is that the money was "FOUND" and we are back on track. This has caused undue and unnecessary stress on a customer whose error was to add a car to the policy, which complicates the system. It would appear that the system would appreciate the business, but that is not the case. I do not need another patronizing lesson on how the system does not work. I would appreciate due diligence and investigation prior to the blame game, of how the change of adding one car has completely crashed the billing system to such an extent that several systems are misaligned. Now I am just a public school teacher and not a multi-billion-dollar industry, but I cannot imagine that this is good for business."
